Authorities have confirmed the presense of the H5N1 strain of bird flu in two farms located in the northwest of the country. This would be the second case of bird flu infection, however it’s the first case of the deadly strain of the virus ( H5N1 ).

A spokesman from the Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry said the villages have been sealed off. The European Union’s Reference Laboratory for Avian Influenza in Weybridge, England confirmed the presence of the virus.
