China reports 2 more human avian influenza ( bird flu ) cases

Chinese authorities are reporting 2 new cases of humans infected with the H5N1 bird flu virus. Both cases are in different parts of the country.

Health officials in a released statement are saying that a nine-year-old girl and a 26-year-old woman from an eastern province of China tested positive for the bird flu virus. Both are now hospitalized in critical condition.
