Bird flu spreads to another vietnamese province

According to a local veterinary agency, Bird flu has been detected in Vietnam’s southern Kien Giang province. This brings the number of localities in the country hit by the disease to four with more than 42,000 birds culled.

Specimens from dead poultry in the province’s two districts tested positive for the bird flu virus strain, H5N1, said the Department of Animal Health under the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
