Bird flu in Hong Kong
Government authorities said on Thursday that a dead Falcon, found in a Hong Kong residential estate, showed the H5 virus was present in preliminary tests.
Further testing is being conducted on the peregrine falcon to determine if the bird had the deadly H5N1 strain, a government statement said.
The bird was reported to Hong Kong authorities on Tuesday, the statement said. It appeared injured when it was found and died the following day.
