Confirmed human H5N1 bird flu cases

The following is a total list, by affected areas, of confirmed human Bird flu cases and deaths. These numbers are up-to-date as of March 5, 2008 and include the years 2003 through 2008.

By confirmed we mean confirmed by a Major health organization like The World Health Organization, not the affected countries. The first number after the country is the total cases of confirmed bird flu cases , the second is the death rate from the H5N1 strain of the bird flu virus.

You can see by these numbers, that Indonesia has the highest confirmed human avian influenza cases, while the USA has the lowest ( 0 ) in the group.Up until the start of 2007 Vietnam held the title of the most confirmed human avian influenza cases.
